To cancel or reschedule your appointment email us at hello@thenailgym.com at least 12 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid being charged the full amount of your service. When booking an appointment at The Nail Gym, you're agreeing to our cancellation policies. WILL I BE CHARGED FOR SAME-DAY RESCHEDULING? For same-day rescheduling we charge 50% of the original service booked. In addition, you will still be responsible for the full-service fee of your same day, rescheduled appointment. Same-day cancellations, no-shows will be charged the full-service fee of your originally scheduled appointment. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT ARRIVALS? In order to have the best experience, we invite clients to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure there is plenty of time to check in, use the loo and choose from our range of non-toxic polish and gels colors. As a courtesy to all our clients, a prompt appointment schedule is adhered to. Late appointments may not be honored and you will still be responsible for the full-service fee of your originally scheduled appointment. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT LATE ARRIVALS? If you arrive more than 10 minutes late we may have to adjust the length of your service time in consideration of the next client. If we have to adjust or shorten your appointment due to a late arrival, you will still be responsible for the full-service fee of your originally scheduled appointment. No refunds will be given to cancelled or rescheduled bookings. WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T SHOW UP AND FORGET TO CANCEL? We kindly ask that you cancel your appointment 12 hours in advance, so we can to fill your spot with someone on the waitlist. Same-day cancellations, no-shows will be charged the full-service fee of your originally scheduled appointment. Any cancellation made via email or left on the voicemail after hours will count as a same day cancellation. PLEASE REMEMBER. In order to provide optimal scheduling for all clients the Nail Gym finds it necessary to implement a 12 -hour cancellation policy for all nail service appointments. This policy applies across the board, whether booked in person, on the phone, via email or online through our website. For any reason if there is a missed appointment, more than 10 minutes late, you will still be responsible for the full-service fee of your originally scheduled appointment. Same-day bookings with less than 12 hours notice will not be downgraded and the full value at the time of booking is payable. No refunds will be given to cancelled or rescheduled bookings. SICK POLICY In an effort to maintain a healthy environment, we ask that if you are sick (which includes a cold, a fever, the flu, etc.) or have the onset of symptoms of an illness that you reschedule your appointment. If you arrive for your appointment with visible symptoms of an illness, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and charged 50% of your original service to reschedule. This is for your well-being as well as the health of our employees and other clients. Receiving a service when you are sick is not advised. While in the early and acute stages of a cold, the flu or other illness, a manicure or pedicure service can accelerate the onset of the infection and intensify its severity (via additional circulation of blood & lymph). Please wait until you have been well for at least a week before getting your service. If you do need to cancel your appointment, please call us 12 hours before your scheduled appointment, so you are not charged the full amount and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a time when you are feeling better.




ABOUT OUR SERVICES


CAN I BRING MY OWN NAIL POLISH? We’re committed to creating a safe and clean salon environment, we politely ask you to not bring in your own nail polish or manicure implements. HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A PEDICURE? Pedicure clients are advised to not shave their legs for at least 24 hours prior to service. Wear loose trousers that do not taper from the knee to the ankle, and please bring your own flip flops to wear out of the salon. In our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint as a small business, we do not supply disposable slippers. DO YOU OFFER GENTLE GEL REMOVAL? Minimal acetone is used in our gel removal process. It is £10+ and up to remove any non-Nail Gym Gel Polish. WILL MY NAILS NEED EXTRA DRYING TIME? Less-toxic polish takes slightly longer to dry, so please plan for a few extra minutes after your service. Note that while polish may seem dry to the touch after service, it takes a full 12-24 hours for it to fully harden and cure. Please be careful and keep your feet free from shoes to avoid smudging. Unfortunately, once you’ve left The Nail Gym, we cannot protect you from nicks, smears or chips. We understand that accidents happen and while we are more than happy to fix them, we will charge £10 for a polish change. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT MY CUTICLE CARE? Cuticles protect your nails and well-being. At The Nail Gym, we only lightly trim hangnails and loose dead skin that is visible after gently pushing the cuticles back. Trimming or cutting live cuticles during a manicure is purely cosmetic and doesn’t benefit the nail in any way which not only makes your cuticles grow back faster, but also encourages them to fray more easily. In fact, it’s actually more harmful to your nails. The small area of skin is there to protect your nails from infection. When this skin is removed, your nail is left unprotected and becomes vulnerable to bacteria and fungus.

WE’RE NOT JUST ANOTHER NAIL SALON, WE ARE SO MUCH MORE We get some negative feedback on our prices and strict policies. Fair enough and I am more than happy to answer! We're not like most nail salons. Walk-into The Nail Gym and you will never be overwhelmed by heavy fumes and/or harmful toxins touching your skin. Not only did we set out to create a non-toxic nail salon environment by offering high-quality products with safe ingredients for our nail services so anyone and everyone can enjoy the experience of getting beautiful and healthy nails that not only make you look good, most importantly feel good on the inside but unfortunately creating these safer products also cost much more to produce compared to other products commonly used in traditional nail salons. At the the end of the day low prices are only great for the consumer but the employees and nail salon owners are the ones who suffer continuing the huge unethical cycle of problems in the nail industry and thats why The Nail Gym is committed to continue to advocate and educate by setting the standard high in the nail industry for ethical practices. Please know we will always 100% stand strong behind our ethos even if that means we lose clients because they do not agree with our prices and strict policies that are put in place. CAN I BRING IN MY CHILDREN DURING MY SALON VISIT? Of course you can bring your children to the salon. All we ask is that you please keep an eye on them at all times. We suggest you bring something to keep them entertained. For safety reasons and insurance purposes we cannot have them running around. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. ARE PETS ALLOWED? We LOVE animals but unfortunately no animals are allowed in any of our locations out of respect for clients and staff with allergies. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT LEAVING MY PURSE OF VALUABLES? We suggest that you leave your valuables (i.e. jewelry) at home. The Nail Gym cannot be responsible for damaged personal valuables during services and will not be liable for lost or stolen personal items or valuables. Also, please check to make sure that no belongings are left behind. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT YOUR SALON PRODUCTS? The more we use our clean products, the more we love them and the more committed we are to the philosophy. We believe that wellness should not be compromised for beauty. Our creams, scrubs and oils used in all of the services at The Nail Gym are vegan friendly, scented with only essential oils, plant based preservatives and never contain petrochemicals, parabens, sulfates or any other harmful chemicals. To preserve a non-toxic environment, we do offer 10-Free of the most toxic ingredients using LED light to cure, not skin-aging UV lights. We do not offer or remove acrylics, dip acrylic powder or enhancements. Our nail polish remover is gentle to ensure your skin doesn’t dry out.




HEALTH + SAFTEY


IS THE NAIL GYM CHEMICAL FREE? *While Bio Sculpture Polish is free of the most toxic ingredients found in other nail polish, we do not want to mislead our clients into believing that our nail polishes are chemical-free. The reality is, in order for polish to stick to nails and adequately dry, it needs to have certain chemical ingredients. Until someone discovers a miracle product that is 100% chemical-free, we will continue to provide the cleanest, safest products possible without compromising beauty or function. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT MY HEALTH + SAFETY? We must refuse service to anyone who seems to have any kind of communicable foot, hand or skin disease. A licensee shall not perform services on a client if the licensee has reason to believe the client has an unhealthy condition; a communicable disease; contagious condition; skin or nail tissue that is inflamed, infected, broken, raised or swollen; or an open wound, ingrown toenail or sore in the area affected unless the client provides written authorization from a GP. WHAT MEDICAL CONDITIONS SHOULD I BE AWARE OF? When making any appointments or before your service, please let us know if you are pregnant, have any health conditions, special needs, or ingrown toenails (e.g. allergies or injuries). This will help us customise your service to ensure the highest satisfaction and benefits.
